So last Friday, I was invited to a private blogger luncheon hosted by Visit Dallas. Visit Dallas is part of the Visitors Bureau. We were invited to learn more about what the City of Dallas is doing as far as building attractions for not just their residents but for tourists as well. Seeing how I went to college in North Texas, my family still lives up there and I’m a huge Dallas Mavericks fan, I go on a road trip to Dallas quite often. But since I go so regularly I don’t notice any tourist type attractions. Well that is all about to change.

Listening to the Diversity Marketing Director and reading the literature she gave us, showed me there is a lot more to Dallas than I pay attention to. Dallas happens to be known because of the show of the same name. Dallas also happens to be known as a snooty type of city. Well let me tell you Houston is the same way. Don’t get it twisted, all cities have some parts that are just snooty. Anyway, what I’m most excited about is being able to go see the attractions then blog and show video to all of you. In hopes, that you will visit Dallas one day. But she also said Dallas is the networking capital. That I want to see for myself. Dallas is more collaborative friendly than Houston I hear. hmm…..I may have to start contacting people up there and see for myself. I’m excited about that.

Over the next 3 years, they will be building a lot in the city. So that only means frequent roadtrips (according to what my calendar allows) to Dallas.

I just wanted to give you a snip it of what’s to come. So stay tuned. Women Are Gamechangers will always keep you up to date on ways to connect, network, gamechangers and events you just may be curios about.
