The Rebirth of Women Are Gamechangers And My 30th Birthday

I’m finally to Club 30. It’s taken awhile to get here but I’m finally at a place where I know what I want to do with my life.

It’s also the 3 year anniversary of officially being self-employed. Yep, I was unemployed on my 27th birthday and two days later I began my entrepreneurial journey which eventually lead to me creating Women Are Gamechangers. That was a bittersweet birthday. Oh the memories…I ate a lot of cake to compensate for being unemployed.

Today I am actively living the purpose God created just for me. I’m experiencing new things. Traveling to new places. Making new connections. Waking up in PEACE. Now that’s priceless.

For most people birthdays are a time for self reflection. For others it’s a time for celebration. For me it’s a time to give back so others are afforded the same opportunities I have been given. This blog allows me to give back to other women in a way to help them use this platform to tell the world who they are and why we all should know them.

I don’t take for granted another year of life. Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. I learned that with the sudden passing of a business friend of mine just a couple of weeks ago.

This month I want you to reflect on what your birthday means to you. Is the celebration with others a true reflection of the person you are meant to be or the person those people want you to be?

I hope you use Women Are Gamechangers as the platform to celebrate who you ARE meant to be. Share you story with the world.
