I have the great pleasure of product testing products I received while attending the Nzuri Natural Hair and Beauty Showcase. Again, I’m not a product junkie or hair girl but I did give it a try. And to my surprise I liked the products. Now I just have to choose how to implement them into my daily regime. Below are my thoughts on the products I tried.
Curls
I used Curls Cashmere Shampoo and Conditioner on a women who is transitioning. After listening to the owner at the Curls VIP Mixer for Nzuri I realized that type in the product line would not be as effective for my hair type. Well Curls left her hair clean and refreshed. The smell permeated the room while leaving her hair soft and manageable. After seeing her hair and the smell, I’m now curious to look more into the product line and try it myself.
Origins
I personally used the Origins Take Home Mini Facial Kit. It was interesting to say the least with the names but the feeling afterwards makes me want to use that facial system daily to see what effect it will have on clearing up my acne. My skin was smooth. I really liked the texture of the Checks and Balances face wash. The Modern Friction microdermabrasion really felt like it was taking off all the dirt and grime off my face. The United States toner cleaned all the residue off after using the microdermabrasion and the Plantscription serum felt like a gel. I did like the feel of the A Perfect World moisturizer. Overall, I will really like to see how long it takes using this method to clear my face up.
Naat Brazilian Keratin
I used the Naat Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave-in Reconstructor. It said it is ideal for hair that has been blow dried or flat ironed. Well I do neither for my hair so I improvised. I did a pre-shampoo and shampoo on my hair and then put on the reconstructor. I let it sit on my hair for a few hours to air dry. The results are flakes fell out of my hair
I don’t think I did it properly. Maybe if I used heat like I was supposed to it would have worked properly. So people please read the directions and follow.
Miss Jessie’s Baby Buttercreme
I am going to do a twist out using the baby buttercreme and see how it does on my hair type. I will have that write up next week.
