A man is not a plan.

Remember those sayings because they will be explained later. First, you need to know who Ruth and Boaz are. So to make a long story short, Ruth decided to stay with her mother in law when her husband died and moved to her mother in laws home country. She was the only one capable of working so she took the work that was given to her. She worked so they could eat and live. The man who owned the land saw her and told someone who worked for him to leave extra grain for her to collect. A lot of people love this story because Ruth ended up marrying a wealthy man unexpectedly who was good to her. And wealthy does not always have to mean money. It was unexpected because they were both from different religious backgrounds. Now today people of any background have the freedom to marry almost anyone in this country. The story is sensationalized due to the fact that Ruth married a wealthy landowner of a different religious background but she was more focused on making sure she and her mother in law had food to eat and a place to live. She did not count on a man to care for them. She made a way for them to live on her own the way a woman could in those times. Thus she followed the saying, a man is not a plan.

In contrasts, a lot of women today are more concerned with finding a man than working on themselves, figuring out who they are as a person, starting a career or company or starting/finishing school. In the story of Ruth, she was focused on working to make sure she and her mother in law had food to eat and a place to live. Yes, many women are doing that today alone but Ruth was not concerned with her love life. Today women are so wrapped up in finding a man without even finding themselves first that they forget they have their own life to live. Besides, it’s the man’s job to find the woman. Not the other way around. But the story of Ruth and Boaz shows that if you are focused on you and what you need to do, your Boaz will appear. Boaz saw how Ruth cared for her mother in law and made sacrifices for the both of them. He watched how she moved through life working hard everyday to make things better. Your Boaz will do the same thing. He will see you for who you are when you are not looking for him. Your Boaz will notice you long before you notice him. Your Boaz will approach you, not the other way around. Remember the saying, don’t be a woman who needs a man be a woman a man needs! Boaz is looking for that type of woman.

Your church is the purity of your heart, soul and body that you should only give to the man you will marry. Now just because you may feel you aren’t pure doesn’t mean your Boaz will not come to you. Being pure means that you know what your beliefs and morals are and you live according to them. Whatever they are you do not stray from them to accommodate anyone else’s needs. Your morals and beliefs are what makes you the person you are and that is what your Boaz will see when he finds you.

So I just wanted to sum up all of this information for you all. As a strong woman, which we all have to be, being focused on getting yourself together is the sexiest thing a man will see when he sees you. It’s not the “typical” beauty because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Your Boaz will see your morals and beliefs as well as inner strength and that will tell him that he is worthy of asking you out. That means you have gotten off your behind and made efforts to become the best form of yourself. Remember the way you carry yourself will determine how and when your Boaz will approach and appear to you. But you must get up and do things for yourself to show that you have something to offer your Boaz.
