Whether you are going to a business meeting or a business lunch, power colors can inspire us more than we think. There are studies on how wearing a certain color can affect one’s personal presence in any situation. It starts with wearing the article of clothing and the feeling it gives us; that feeling then shows in your actions. Check out which power colors can help you become more confident in the workplace:
Red: The color red is probably the most popular color in the business world. It’s the color that you want when you demand attention and want to be heard. There is nothing quite impressive than a strong woman in a red suit.
Blue: Singing the blues? Well in this case, blues are good. When you wear blue, the color portrays a sense of trustworthy and dedication. Blue is a great color to wear for a first interview!
Green: The newest member to the power color group is the color green. Green signifies a new beginning or a fresh start. When work becomes stressful and you are looking for a breaking point in a project try wearing a green blouse. There must be a reason that the ‘new fortune’ four leaf clover is green.
Black: Want to turn heads and impress those around you? Think black. Black is a very sharp color when worn properly. Try a fresh pressed solid black suit and matching heels. This basic black isn’t so basic anymore.
Purple: A deeper purple is not only a popular trend in clothing and makeup right now but in the workplace. It is the more playful of the power colors; it portrays your dedication but also informs others that you are willing to be creative.
A color doesn’t define you, but it definitely can give that boost you need on your personal cloudy days. Start trying out different colors and go with the one that makes you feel your most comfortable and confident!
