My name is June Smith, CEO & Founder of TAJJ Cosmetics.
I am the mother to three amazing young men, Andre, Jevar and Tyler. I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica and have been living in Canada for over twenty five years.
As a young lady, I have always had a passion for beauty and fashion, so from an early age I enjoyed enhancing the looks of others around me. Armed with a passion and a dream and a vision to own my own business, in the summer of 2008, I founded TAJJ Cosmetics,and innovated the first product “The Incredible Corn Concealer”, a product that is used to conceal discoloration on toes caused by corns.
After the over whelming responses from customers about our product, we shifted our focus and began intensive research for ethnic skin type, and realized that makeup for women of color was limited. In January of 2011, we launched our complete line of makeup for women of color.
In July of 2011, I was nominated as one of 50 Fabulous Women Entrepreneur by Black Business Women Online. Our products were also ranked number four as one of Ten Beauty must have by Ethnic Hair & Beauty Care.
Our mandate is to uplift All women and to help them recognize their inner beauty, to understand that makeup should not be a quick fix for their inner emotions, but rather to enhance their natural look.
