Karla Romero continues to be a rising star out of MA. L’Oreal Paris recently recognized Karla Romero as 1 of 30 top American Women of Worth in the nation for her charitable service to her country and community. Ms. Romero is 1 of 298 women running for Congress in the United States. Karla Romero is also the first Woman of Color to run for Congress in the History of MA. She was the guest speaker at the Eco Salsa Fashion show of Green Fest 2012 in Boston MA. It was a Conscientious Couture packed show for all to enjoy!

Karla Romero, also known as the Green Glamour Gal of MA. is the founding president of Mass Appeal International charity, they are 100% volunteer driven. They do not use 1 tax dollar, and take an innovative green approach to charity and volunteerism. Mass Appeal International feeds and clothes over 2000 people each month through its Food Rescue program. Her volunteers pick up perfectly good food from restaurants and organic grocers that would other wise be thrown away, and donate it to church pantries, and charities on a shoe string budget for people hit hardest by the recession. Her Green Glamour Gal program collects high end clothing from people and stores that would otherwise head for the dump, and redistribute it to needy foster children, women in domestic violence shelters, single mothers, and returning female veterans so that they may feel good and healthy on the inside and look and feel fabulous outside, while helping the planet.

Mass Appeal International charity empowers and inspires women to make small positive changes to live a greener lifestyle in their quest to be glamorous. Helping women to live a green lifestyle results in them feeling healthier on the inside, while looking more glamorous on the outside.
