CLEE Conference

Working until 1am the day of the CLEE Conference. I was putting the finishing touches on my presentation.

So you all know I have been writing about this speaking engagementI had this past weekend. It went way better than I had planned. The kids were great and very involved in the conversation. They also asked thought-provoking questions. I was impressed by their level of maturity and thought when it came to the panel or Straight Talk. I spoke about Character and Social Media. I wanted to make sure I spoke about a relevant topic for them. And they knew some things but I did get to school them on consequences of their online actions. I wasn’t able to hear many of the other presenters. But the ones I did dropped so much knowledge I just know these kids left with a greater investment. All of the presenters came correct and well prepared to get the creative juices flowing in the youth that attended. I HIGHLY suggest sending your teen or any teen you know in the Dallas/Fort Worth area next year to the CLEE Conference. They won’t be disappointed. I know I wasn’t. The four topics that the kids listened to were character, leadership, education and entrepreneurship.

Now the panel was the time all the teens were in the same room listening to multiple panelists. There was an attorney, an archeologist, a teacher/personal trainer, a home health care business owner and myself. I felt I learned more from the panel than the students but they not only asked intriguing questions, they kept the questions coming. I know my profession as a professional blogger was new not to just the teens but to the adults as well. I received my fair share of questions and hopefully answered them to their satisfaction.

Remember See No Color and Women Are Gamechangers is doing our 1 hour, 1 day, 1 year Mentoring Challenge. This is just one of several organizations I will be involved with this year.
